Northampton Saints Foundation team gathered last week to celebrate the achievements of this academic year.
The event, which highlighted the successes of many aspects of the Foundation’s work, took place at cinch stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
CELEBRATING SUCCESS AND COMMUNITY
Attendees included young people from the Foundation’s Education and Social Inclusion programmes, alongside schools, fundraisers, supporters, volunteers, and partners.
The evening was hosted by Graham McKechnie, BBC Radio Northampton’s Sports Editor and Northampton Saints Club Historian, plus Foundation Ambassador and former England international rugby player, Tom Wood.
The event featured updates on the Foundation’s latest news, statistics, and success stories from each programme.
RECOGNITION OF OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS
Among the award recipients was Josh, who was honoured with the Engage Programme's Progression Award.
Emilie Harbottle, the Foundation’s Inclusion Manager, praised Josh's dedication, stating: “Engage has provided this student with a supportive environment tailored to his needs, allowing him to build confidence and develop essential social skills.
“Through the programme, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to his personal growth and education. His progress is a testament to his hard work and the dedicated support of the Foundation’s wider team.”
A YEAR OF IMPACT
With over 7,000 young people supported across all programmes during the academic year, the impact of the Foundation’s work is evident.
Catherine Deans, Northampton Saints Foundation Managing Director, expressed her pride and congratulations, saying: “Our Awards are about our young people and celebrating their successes this year.
“It was a delight to see and hear their achievements, and whilst some received awards on the day, there are many, many more who have made incredible progress, developing essential skills to make a positive change. My congratulations to each and every one of them.”
HONOURING CONTRIBUTIONS
Graham McKechnie, a long-term supporter of the Foundation, was surprised when the tables turned, and he was awarded the Contribution Award for his unwavering support, knowledge, and dedication to the Foundation’s Heritage and Fundraising departments.
His willingness to volunteer time and information to the Foundation’s efforts, particularly in protecting and preserving our heritage, as well as giving a platform to raise awareness of the Foundation’s vital work, have been invaluable.
GRATITUDE TO SUPPORTERS
The Foundation extended heartfelt thanks to their volunteers, sponsors, partners, and staff, recognising them as fundamental to the vital work they provide throughout communities.
The collective effort of all involved ensures the continued success and positive impact of the Foundation’s programmes.
Northampton Saints Foundation looks forward to another year of supporting and celebrating the achievements of young people and their communities.
