Northampton Saints Foundation has kicked off the new season with a bang after MPA named the organisation their new charity partner.
MPA, a Newport Pagnell-based advisory firm which specialises in helping businesses to maximise potential benefits from available HMRC tax concessions, are hoping to donate over £10,000 to the Foundation in the coming months through the fundraising efforts of their staff.
“This new relationship with MPA will ensure we can maximise the reach and impact we have.”
Catherine Deans, Foundation managing director
Launched in 2018, Northampton Saints Foundation aims to improve the motivation, self-esteem and learning of young people through the medium of sport – and in 18 months since its inception has welcomed support from numerous businesses and partners from across Northamptonshire and beyond.
But managing director Catherine Deans is delighted to welcome MPA to the team and is excited to see the new partnership bear fruit.
“We are thrilled to launch our corporate partnership with MPA,” she said. “Northampton Saints Foundation is expanding all the time – enabling us to support, educate and inspire more young people than ever before across Northamptonshire and beyond.
“This new relationship will ensure we can maximise the reach and impact we have, so we look forward to the team at MPA joining us by taking part in some enjoyable and challenging fundraising activities. They are also looking into the possibility of working directly with some of the young people attending our programmes, volunteering to deliver cooking skills and business mentoring workshops.
“It’s vital that local businesses work together with us as we try to support our community; teamwork is key and so I’ve no doubt MPA will be a fantastic addition to the Foundation.”
MPA donated a range of learning equipment to the Study Centre back in 2017, and marketing director Phil Hammett is relishing the prospect of doing even more for the Foundation.
He added: “We are excited to announce a long-term commitment to Northampton Saints Foundation as our new charity partner.
“Our team at MPA had an overwhelming response to examples of the vital work the Foundation do to help vulnerable and excluded young people within our community. We look forward to working hard with the Foundation to support the day-to-day running of the Study Centre, and to raising vital funds to ensure the Foundation’s impact is maximised.”
