Northampton Saints Foundation is excited to announce their biggest fundraising event of the year, Foundation Day, will take place on Saturday 26th April when Northampton Saints face Bristol Bears in the Gallagher Premiership.
The day will see cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens come to life with community spirit and activities to raise vital funds and awareness of the Foundation, with the match kicking off at 5:30pm.
Among the highlights will be a half-time challenge on the pitch (sponsored by QLM Search), a raffle featuring a range of fantastic prizes, and auction items from exclusive experiences to personalised signed memorabilia from Northampton Saints’ players.
Fans can also expect to see members of the Northampton Saints squad in the supporter village signing items and taking photos for donations.
Since last year’s Foundation Day, the number of people supported by the Foundation has increased from 6,000 to over 7,000 – thanks in part to new partnerships with Tresham College, the expansion of its Engage Programme, and a brand-new Education programme.
“Foundation Day is a day to celebrate, raise awareness and a significant amount of money to continue our life-changing work,” said Sue Wright, Fundraising and Grants Officer at Northampton Saints Foundation.
“We are incredibly proud of the progress we've made, but there's still so much more to do. With your support, we can provide even more opportunities for those who need it most, helping to create lasting, positive change in our community.”
Inspired by the rich history of Northampton Saints, the Foundation uses the power of sport and the values of rugby to inspire, support, and educate thousands of people each year.
Last year’s Foundation Day raised an impressive £60,000, and this year the Foundation is calling on local businesses and individuals to get involved through donating, sponsorships and volunteer opportunities.
"We’ve already seen how much of an impact Foundation Day has, but we’re excited to raise the bar even higher this year,” continued Wright. “There’s still time for businesses to get involved as sponsors, and we welcome anyone who wants to make a difference in their community.”
In the weeks leading up to the event, the Foundation will share more details about how supporters can contribute, what to expect on the day, and a competition to take part in our half-time challenge.
Tickets for the game are on sale to Saints Season Ticket Holders now, and will become available on general sale from 12pm on Monday 17 March. Saints supporters can make a donation to the Foundation while they purchase their tickets – please select 'Donation’ at check-out and insert your desired amount.
