16+ Education

Engage+

Engage+, in partnership with Northampton College, is a programme designed to support young individuals who require additional learning support or are at risk of not being in education, employment or training (NEET).

The programme was founded in October 2017, with the support of Always a Chance, and specialises in supporting individuals who find a regular educational learning environment difficult.

We work with students, aged 16-18, who are currently enrolled at Northampton College with the aim of increasing self-esteem, self-awareness and improving their employability skills.

Our teaching team are skilled in supporting learners with challenging behavioural and educational attainment issues and apply a tailored approach, ensuring stability in the aims of achieving positive progressions for all learners.

How Engage+ works?

Delivered through a structured timetable, based at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens, learners have the opportunity to work towards and gain a City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Employability, whilst gaining their Functional Skills qualification at Northampton College.

The course oversees topics that aid preparation and journey to work such as CV writing, personal awareness and communication, interview skills and keeping safe - all key employability skills.

Students also have fantastic work experience and enrichment opportunities due to Northampton Saints Foundation working with excellent business partners locally and nationally.
